Moore Dairy FarmWith the help of EQIP funds, the Moore family of Rowan County use no-till, waterways, buffers, and wildlife plantings to protect the water quality of local streams. Winfall Constructed WetlandThe NRCS, Albermarle RC&D, and the Perquimans SWCD partner to help provide the Town of Winfall with a constructed wetland that helps filter potential pollutants from the town's treatment plant and provide an outstanding learning center. Kuenzler Wildlife Habitat PreserveUsing Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) funds the Kuenzlers were able to turn a portion of their farm into a wildlife habitat preserve. NRCS Partners with NC CURE Program to Protect Wildlife HabitatUsing Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP) funds, NRCS works with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission's CURE program to improve Bobwhite Quail habitat. EQIP Reduces Pesticide Use in OrchardsEnvironmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) uses innovative approaches to reduce potential pesticide pollution from orchards in western North Carolina.
