Conservation Highlights is a collection of stories that illustrate some of the natural resources conservation activities conducted by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in North Carolina.

Moore Dairy Farm

With the help of EQIP funds, the Moore family of Rowan County use no-till, waterways, buffers, and wildlife plantings to protect the water quality of local streams.

Winfall Constructed Wetland

The NRCS, Albermarle RC&D, and the Perquimans SWCD partner to help provide the Town of Winfall with a constructed wetland that helps filter potential pollutants from the town's treatment plant and provide an outstanding learning center.

Kuenzler Wildlife Habitat Preserve

Using Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) funds the Kuenzlers were able to turn a portion of their farm into a wildlife habitat preserve.
