Kuenzler Wildlife Habitat Preserve

Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) funds have been used by the Kuenzler family in
Orange County to help create a wildlife habitat preserve on the family's
farm. The project redirected water into a set of shallow pools and wet
areas constructed on the farm. These areas where then planted to native,
wetland vegetation.
WRP provided funds for the restoration work and a permanent wetland reserve easement. The remainder of the farm is
under a conservation easement with the Triangle Land Conservancy. The US
Fish and Wildlife Service provided funds as well.
