FY 2006 North Carolina CIG Awards

North Carolina awarded two state-level grants in 2006.  These were as follows:

EVALUATION & DEMONSTRATION OF FIELD BORDERS TO ENHANCE POLLINATORS AND BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF PESTS,

North Carolina State University

Amount: $43,900
Description: Demonstration of how field borders can be designed to assist producers accomplish both IPM and wildlife habitat enhancement functions.

 SMALL FARMERS CONSERVATION SYSTEMS AND OUTREACH INITIATIVE,

Operation Spring Plant

Amount: $25,000
Description: Use farm demonstrations, mentoring, and hands-on training and educational materials to assist small farm producers address natural resource concerns using farm bill programs.
